We collect waste between 6am and 3:45pm, 7 days a week.

Your containers must be at your collection point by 6am on your collection day. You should aim to bring the containers back in as soon as they are empty.

If your business is in the city centre, you must take the containers off the pavement by 10am. You could face enforcement action if they stay on the pavement.

We will talk to you about any specific restrictions that may be in place in the city centre before we start collections.

You can see what day you need to put your waste out and the collection schedule on your Waste Transfer Note. Log in to the customer portal and go to the documents section to see your Waste Transfer Note.

Bin collections

If you use bins, you must make sure the lids are closed. If there are extra bags next to the bin, we will not collect the waste.

If you want extra bags collected, please contact us. There is a charge for extra collections.

There is a maximum weight limit on the bins. This is to account for the health and safety of our collection teams and the lifting capacity on the vehicle.

Missed collections

If we cannot collect your waste, we will send you an email with:

• the reason why we cannot collect your waste, and
• any action we recommend you take.

To get these emails, you must register on the customer portal.

If we have not collected your waste and have not emailed you to tell you why, please contact us to report this.
