Separating your food waste:
· can reduce pests and vermin,
· is more sustainable than using bags, and
· can reduce odours.
Using a food waste collection will save you money. If you put food waste in your general waste bin, you could be charged for it.
Food Caddy
You should use a food caddy if your business does not produce much food waste. We can provide you with:
· a 35-litre food caddy, and
· biodegradable liners.
We will collect your food caddy from the pavement.

Wheeled Bins
You should use a wheeled bin if your business produces a large amount of food waste. You must put food waste inside a biodegradable food liner. These are available for purchase from Cardiff Trade Waste. You can order them through the customer portal.
We can also provide you with a food caddy to make food disposal easier.
Please note: due to weight restrictions, you can only fill your food bin to 75% of its capacity.
We can also provide smaller food caddies to assist disposal.
