We would like to reassure our customers that Cardiff Council, and the Commercial Waste Services team have developed Business Continuity Plans which are frequently being reviewed, to minimise the disruption likely to be caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
We will be following guidelines set by Council leaders based on the recommendations from the British Government, and we have already taken steps to minimise the risk to our staff.
We anticipate that staff numbers will be significantly depleted at some point during the outbreak and during this instance, we may need to review which services we operate. We apologise in advance if this causes an inconvenience to your business, but we will be focusing all our efforts on the services and areas of the city which are the most vital and under pressure. Where possible we will make all efforts to meet our customer’s needs at this time of uncertainty.
As this is a rapidly changing situation, we will strive to update customers on the status of our operations as often as possible and we will be periodically sending out email updates. In order to ensure that you receive these updates we would encourage customers to get in touch via email to c.services@cardiff.gov.uk to confirm we have the correct contact details.
We plan to have office staff on hand during normal business times, to help with any concerns or requests, but there may be minimal staff available on the phone. So if you have any concerns we encourage you to contact us via email on c.services@cardiff.gov.uk, or using the contact us form on the website.
We would like to thank you for your understanding during these uncertain times, and we wish all our customers the best during this difficult time.
